Beijing Educational Tour (Day 3)

日期: 01/04/2026

The students arrived early at the Forbidden City, the largest and the best-preserved collection of ancient wooden structures in the world. This imperial palace, dating back to the Ming and Qing dynasties, welcomed them with its grandeur and solemnity. The tour guide explicitly recounted the different stories of the Forbidden City, and as the students walked and observed, it felt as if time had travelled back hundreds of years.

In the afternoon, they visited the Temple of Heaven, where ancient emperors offered sacrifices to Heaven. Looking at the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, the Circular Mound Altar, and other structures, the students learned about and experienced the ancient Chinese worldview of "a round heaven and a square earth".
